|Brown cap (3cm) has white edges and the center is pruinose when young
(finely frosted with white powdery granules); cap splitting with age with
dark center. Stem equal; light brown, darkens when dried. Cystidia
encrusted. June. County park under oak tree; moss present. Identified
through DNA sequencing by Stephen Russell at Purdue University as a
part of the North American Mycoflora Project.
